The Incredible Power Of Gratitude

“It is not happy people who are thankful.

It is thankful people who are happy”

The incredible power of gratitude.

One of my little girls, Atiya had a kidney operation the other day because of hydronephrosis – blockage and swelling due to water retention in her left kidney. She is only 6, one of identical twins born premature at 32 weeks.

It was her second operation. She had one before, an open heart operation to close the hole inside her heart when she was 1 year and 9 months old.

She recovered then and is recovering now absolutely amazingly quick and regaining her strength and spirit in no time. There is so much to learn from her attitude and acceptance and her beautiful pure nature.

Although the first time everything went well, I remember being very disappointed and angry. I found it difficult to accept that we had to go through all of this, the anxiety and fear and time in the hospital. I found it all then so much harder to go through.

The Incredible Power Of Gratitude

Well, time passed and a lot happened and changed in me and around me. We moved to a beautiful countryside and started working from home, enjoying every day the closeness of nature around us and time spent together.

Still, the really good stuff happened only maybe about a year ago. I decided from then on to create my own reality. To change and take control of my thoughts. To be grateful for all that I already have. The simple act of appreciation, profound and so powerful because I do have it all, so much to be grateful for and make me happy!

We had a long way to drive to the hospital and when there, a long time to wait. All this time I had predominantly one thought in my mind. I thought about how grateful I am for my little girl to be here and to be who she is. How strong, healthy and beautiful she is.

Now home again, slowly getting back to normal and so grateful and thankful for Atiya’s super fast recovery and the incredible love and support sent our way by many caring people. And as strange as it might sound, now I feel also grateful for having this opportunity to be there for my precious girl, for being given a very special time with her, having the chance to make her feel better. Look after her and serve her in a very special way.

“You gotta look for the good in the bad, the happy in your sad, the gain in your pain, and what makes you grateful not hateful.”– Karen Salmansohn

As I do everyday, I wish you to experience the tremendous power of gratitude. There is so much to be grateful for!

  • Be grateful for your past, present and future – all that ever happened to you, good or bad and all things to come. Although sometimes life seems hard, it all brought you to this point and it made you the person you are today. Notice the good in every moment realising that it gives you each time a new beginning and new ending.

Learn to appreciate the happy and magical times as well as the hard and dark moments, and leave the past behind. Live NOW and look forward to the future.

  • Be grateful and thankful for your loved ones and for the privilege to share every day with them. Be grateful for who they are. Appreciate and cherish them every single day.

  • Be grateful for all the other people crossing your path on this incredible journey called life, as each of them is living a part of them self in you in so many different ways.

The Incredible Power Of Gratitude

  • Be grateful for each day’s gifts, waking up healthy and safe and for every breath you take.

  • Be grateful for all that we usually take for granted in the western world like drinking water from the comfortable tap in your kitchen and bathroom, for electricity and a warm home in winter.

  • Be grateful for your growth, your strength and courage and every happy thought, every change and step forward.

  • Be grateful for guidance and inspiration given to you by the Universe, bringing you every day a little closer to awakening and greatness.

  • Be grateful for everything that you can do, if it is only walking or reading or watching, meeting others, talking, giving and receiving.

  • Be grateful for the beauty around you, wonders of our incredible planet and the whole Universe. The Sun, Moon and the Stars and the balance in all of it, making it all possible to exist.

  • Be grateful for yourself, for being alive, for how and who you are and your incredible personal journey.

Notice the good in every moment. Live in the spirit of thankfulness and realize that all you have right now, is already a miracle and a gift in itself.

Through gratitude you will attract more things, more experiences and more moments to be grateful for.

Practising gratitude can change us and change our planet. If all of us would practice gratitude in the moment all worries would vanish, all problems would resolve and all miracles would come easily.

“Never let the things you want make you forget the things you have”

While we often believe we have to have more of whatever we are wanting, in reality when we can appreciate what we have already now, value it and have gratitude for it, we actually become more open to receiving more. It becomes a way that we can actually improve our relationships by serving and loving one another.

All this time, before and after my daughters operation, my husband and I didn’t need to worry about not being able to stay with her and be all together every day. I am so grateful for our decision which we made some time ago about becoming online entrepreneurs. Our choice made it possible for us to be able to work from anywhere as long as we have an internet connection.

All the biggest changes in me and in my life, the incredible realizations, potential and power within to shift my thinking, reinvent myself and reshape my habits happened in a connection to a free video training I came across last year. The 7 Day Bootcamp provided me with instructions and tools to believe in myself, take control of and create mine and my family’s future.

Thank you for being here and taking time to read this blog. I hope that you enjoyed it.

If you feel like any of this helped you in some way, please share it with others.
